After arriving at the Kigali International Airport/ hotel, you are picked up by our company representative/ experienced guide who drives you around the city to the Gisozi genocide memorial museum in Kigali to learn more about the affects of the genocide that happened in Rwanda.
After here, break off for lunch then later transfer Ruhengeri at Volcanoes National Park in about 90 minutes and when you reach here, proceed to check-in your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Lebombou Lodge, Virunga Lodge.
Take breakfast in the morning and then go straight to Volcanoes National Park where you will be oriented about the dos and don’ts of Mountain gorillas and their traits as well as the habitat in which they exist. You will proceed straight into the forest so as to spot these primates and here, you will encounter others like the rare species of Golden Monkeys and hike to the legendary Dian Fossey tomb/ grave yard.
After trekking, interacting and taking clear shots with these intelligent species, you will go back to the park offices/ headquarters for your Gorilla tracking certificate. You will proceed to your hotel/ lodge for lunch where you will leave to go for a calm community walk to Musanze local market, Iby’Iwacu cultural village. Dinner and Overnight. Meal plan: FB.
Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast then proceed into the same forest for an exciting second Gorilla trek where you will leave from back to your lodge for lunch and refreshment.
After lunch, you will go and explore the beautiful Musanze caves and take on nature walks to the tremendous twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo/ Iby’Iwachu Cultural Village. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B.
Wake up early in the morning and take breakfast then transfer to Dian Fossey center where you will learn more about the legendary tombs and the lifestyle of this zoologist and how she interacted with the Gorillas.
Later on, you can choose to track the rare species of golden monkeys/ visit orphanages and ordinary schools before transferring back to Kigali.
